One of the country’s most respected sports psychologists, Dr. Andrew Jacobs works with athletes of all ages, from youth athletes to Major League and Olympic competitors. Called “a pioneer in mental training,” he was one of the first sport psychologists to work with a US Olympic team. During his years as the US Cycling Team’s sports psychologist, they won a record nine medals at the 1984 Olympics — the first cycling medals for the US in 72 years.

Dr. Jacobs has served as the team psychologist for the Kansas City Royals and the University of Kansas Athletic Department and is currently the sports psychologist for the University of Missouri Kansas City. He’s worked with individual team members from the Chicago White Sox, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, Sporting KC and the Australian National Swimming Team and served as a consultant for the US Swimming and Weight Lifting Federations, the PGA and USTA.
